For the awaited!

Oh awaited! Al Qaim
My master! Ya Mahdi

The Sufyani swords have risen
Killing us night and days
Whilst everything is set ablaze
Humane instinct got no trace

Bloodshed be it or
Be it crucifixion
Beheading scenes too
Now look so normal

Live in Khurasan or go to Kufa
Fear rules Mosul, dismayed is Raqqa
Blood in the tide of tigres
And bombed is samara

Hiding behind the castles of evil
They plot in their strongholds
They’re armed to the teeth
They slay us, while
we cry from beneath
Dipped in the martyrs blood
Is the sun’s red
Murky nights hollowed
Even the days are put to bed
Drowned in your love
my lips say Al Ajal
my heart cries Ya Hujjah
my eyes weep As-Saa’ate
my soul shouts Adriknee
Hope’s wings slashed and
Peace and tranquillity fled
Come out of occultation
Ya Imam your separation
has made my heart to bled

I call upon you
Oh! The promised one
Avenge the unjust tyrant
Khooli of this time
That impure, vicious one

My tears only are not alone
But Millions everywhere
Not i but we
Call you in the same tone

Ready for you are the divine men
Face to face against oppression
Come lead us through this transition
And to begin the end of destruction
Dying to live in the servitude of Zahra
We took pledge against the enemy of ALLAH
Protecting the holy places in Iraq &Syria
The world knows us by the name - Hezbollah
Oh Al Qaim, You got the power
Of the loin of ALLAH
Your legacy from generations
Is the sword of ALLAH
Your pure chest protects the realm
Is the shield of ALLAH
Justice will prevail unanimously
When you say Bismillah
You cry for the daughter
Of the Prophet of ALLAH
Lady of light is alone
We can’t cry thier - Wallah
Whilst Filth lives in palaces
Baqee is roofless - Wallah
Waiting for you is the green tomb
So is the house of ALLAH

Our covenant for you
We’ll forget? Never
Let takfiris trample
Cast aspersion? Never!
Let them hijack Islam
Tread on its values? Never!
Their shadows and swords
On the land of pure? Never!
Al Hujjah showing mercy
On the Marhab’s? Never!
Exhume Hujr bin Adi
They think they’ll prosper? Never!

O’ Mahdi show us the day when
By the wall of Ka’aba you will stand tall and then
Stating in one voice the inevitable, writing with one pen
You lifted the veil and came out of the occultation’s den

Take note oh world, stop this slay
The pure speaks so listen to what he has to say
The promise of ALLAH is true without delay
Revenge is seeking the ignoble with this relay
Their game ends and they got nothing to play

Our faith Ya Imam is unshakable
Your love in our hearts is unbreakable
313 was and will be unstoppable
Coz we know our Imam is just & invincible

Notes from an unfinished love!

To unlove and love you
Took me to hell and back
Weak need not to attempt
No tests for desires to know
All that remains
Is but a distant dream
Like that of a story
That was rubbed off
The only remnants
are pencil marks
At the bottom of that plain paper
That once carried
uncaring written notes
Of an unfinished love
It reads and I write it now
‘love her’ till the gentle rain
Falls in time to her soundless tears
‘love her more’ when winds wreak havoc
And ferocious is the thunder
She is as the note says
A pendulum that swings
Between fear and suffocation
Sometimes fear and abandonment
At times faith and infidelity
‘love her’ when she watches clocks
Chases time
‘love her more’ when she tries
Tries to make the broken pieces fit
Tries to make sense of it all
Amid the notes lives a memory
Of her fighting demons
Slaying those dragons
And yet at times
She like a child
Terrified alone in a big world
‘love her’ for her bravery
‘love her more’ when she’s scared
Like the chronicles of a
Death foretold and of
Endless battles to find herself
The note that hints
of her when she is small
and of times she feels
huge and invincible
‘love her’ when she feels too much
‘love her more’ when she feels not enough
The unfinished love that
Speak volumes of ache
Pain and anguish,
Of her eyes that grow dim
And when she is a bright light
Letting wind weave magic
Through her hair
Inscribed in that note’s heart
Were two, sometimes three
Words
Love her, lover her more
‘love her’ when she’s light
‘love her more’ when in darkness
‘love her’ when she loves you
‘love her more’ when she hurts
‘love her’ when its easy
‘love her more’ when its not
The pencil with its broken nib
Wrote for me to understand
Understand her, it spelled
She offered you her fragile heart
She didn’t need you
She had chosen you
The note now breaths its last
Asks me to love
‘love her’ when she doesn’t love
‘love her’ for she is her
‘love her more’ for you know
How to love harder
Undying wish of the
Love that died
Keep the notes

Of the unfinished love.

Grief’s Note

Through withered gardens I went
Climbed the highest hills
saw snow peaks  in crimson colours
Jackboots drenched in blood

The valley that once was
was bare than deserts now
As if in the darkest hour
It saw the face of death

swayed to a secluded place
Caged in the unfinished rooms
Grief’s note was written in bold
On the unending wall of pain

Taken back to the exact moment
Where everything succumbed to regret
When veins were snapped
And nothing could be saved

Forsaken even by loneliness today
I recall that teeming city
Who took its fervour
Who drew the first blood

Ashes tell the story
Ruins bare witness
Who lit the fire first
Who hit the last nail

Attacked by arrows
That spew venom
The half drawn daggers
Still tripling with blood

The fate was sealed
of smiles and her children
their dying Kashmir
was sent to dungeons

home died in the arms of the vision-less summer
the year of the blind that hollows you out
I feel in my chest, my heart may squeeze
Yet from hell’s heart I stab thee

Did Anything Change?

Smiles of the heaven
Have the children of conflict.
Eyes full of dreams
Had the children of conflict?

Bliss of severance
On that eventful eid
Silenced by a death foretold
Remembrance makes the heart to bleed .

Like waves of frozen Dal
Rainin’ tears to bid farewell
He was brought to rest
Where the undying dwell

Day 50 today
Feels like day one
He clings to stones
You can hold that gun

He came in the hue
of the holy shroud
And the flower of passion
Made Kashmir proud

At lidder they vow by the waters edge
Standing side by side they took this pledge
The land of saints now breeds new heroes
A lane without name today has flowers and sedge

Listen to his name
With all your heart
And hear that song
Which your ears did not

Day 50 today
Feels like day one
Do all that you want
You’re back to square one

Grief is in a hurry
And pain passes by
Vanity too busy
Left to bewail n cry

In the valley of death
Where flowers don’t mourn
They took his dreams
with pellets they torn

That child can’t see, he sure can’t scribe
You’ve blinded him and he asks instead
In a knife-like tone he hoists his voice
Is he not big enough? To honor his dead.

Day 50 today
Feels like day one
Did anything change?
Excuse that pun

Tum aaye ho, na shab-e-intezar guzri hai, Faiz Ahmad Faiz translated by Mir Atif

Tum Aaye Ho Na Shab-e-Intizar Guzri Hai
Talaash Mein Hai Sehar, Bar Bar Guzri Hai

Junoon mein jitni bhi guzri, bakaar Guzri Hai
Agar che Dil Pe KHarabi Hazar Guzri Hai

Woh Baat Saare Fasaane Mein Jis ka Zikra Na Tha
Woh Baat Unko Bahut NaGavaar Guzri Hai

Huii Hai Hazrat-e-Naaseh se Guftguu Jis Shab
Woh Shab Zaruur Sar-e-Kuh-e-Yaar Guzri Hai

Na Gul Khile hein, Na un Se Mile, Na Mai Pii Hai
Ajeeb Rung Mein ab Ke Bahaar Guzri Hai

Chaman Mein Gaarat-e-gulchiin se Jaane Kya Guzri
Qafas se Aaj Sabaa be-Qaraar Guzri Hai

---------------

You didn’t show up
Night of longing denies to go
In pursuit of you
Dawns trumpet is yet to blow

Surrounded by passion
Wasn’t that time well spent?
Why wail oh! Heart?
All you suffered was a severe dent

Counting my steps
In the beloved’s alleyway
Like that debate
Of lovers at Broadway

Story you recounted
And left an unsaid part
Offences he took
Ineptly to his own heart

Emptied cups, no blossoms
And no signs of her
Colorless has been
This summer – so blur

Gardener plucked
To the flowers dismay
The morning breeze questioned
Besides my confine today

Not from the elixir..

When emptiness surrounds
Filling the void
When nothingness resonates
Of soundless screams
Taking your name
When breathing be like
A blade down the throat
When pointless arguments
Challenge thy hope
When numbness moves
Crushing thy bones
I look for retreat
In the alleys of hope
None to be found
yet once again
To my refuge – came
Not from the elixir
But the ink from my pen
With the color of blood
On spotless paper
Writing stories
Each word says peace
my heart’s off loom
Arteries relaxed
Of the anticipated pain
and the hunger that fasts
Of the longing that lasts
That keeps you alone
I open my eyes
There’s moment of truth
A half drawn dagger
Stays in me
For the rest of the night
Till the morning light
And I survive
For one more time
It was my refuge
Not the elixir’s flow
But my paper n pen
